This is one of my first big projects - I really like to use wires and bend it into smooth forms. I also love it to work with Navette-cutted gems but unforuneley it requires a lot of knowledge to enchase navette-gems, so I have to bring these to the gemsetter, like in this case.

The gem itself is a peridot with a very intensive color and I made this choice because of the green color is a symbol of life for me, so it suits perfect for this piece.

For me, Yggdrasil is the tree of life, who connects the different kinds of the world, like every other tree - look at one - a tree does have roots, which spreads deep into the earth, he has a bole, which we can touch and feel, and twigs, which are growing towards heaven, to the sun, far far away, where birds, the creatures of the air, are building their nests, just amazing!
